HDC Hyundai Development Company said on the 17th that Park Oasis (tea house, The Circle of Connection) inside Jamsil Raemian I'Park, which is set for occupancy at the end of this year, won the silver prize (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award) at the 2025 Good Design Award Korea.
Good Design Award Korea is the nation's most prestigious design prize hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. It recognizes and awards designs with innovation and social significance across diverse fields such as products, spaces, and environments.
Park Oasis (outdoor music hall) at Jamsil Raemian I'Park was conceived under the theme of an emotional sanctuary in the city, planned as a space of pause that allows people to stop and catch their breath even in a dense urban environment. The design begins with circulation and center (Circle & Connection). The circular floor plan gently connects users' paths and sightlines, while the central water feature serves as the visual and emotional axis of the space.
Inside, a curvilinear deck and rest areas unfold over the water feature, and the performance stage and seating are designed not to be fixed, functioning as an open stage where music and nature coexist. Detailed elements from the floor to the walls and ceiling focus on sensory calm rather than visual stimulation, guiding users to experience "lingering itself."
An HDC Hyundai Development Company official said, "Park Oasis goes beyond a community facility within the complex to realize a stage of nature in the city that is open to everyone while allowing private rest," adding, "With this award as a starting point, we will continue to present emotive spaces that break down the boundaries between landscaping and architecture within residential complexes."
