GS Engineering and Construction said on the 4th that operating profit for the third quarter was tentatively tallied at 148.5 billion won on a consolidation basis. That was up 81.5% from a year earlier.
Revenue rose 3.2% to 3.208 trillion won. Net profit was tallied at 122.1 billion won, up 1.0%.
New orders in the third quarter came to 4.4529 trillion won, bringing orders so far this year to 12.3386 trillion won.
Major order wins included the Architecture and Housing Division's "Sangmun Station west-side urban public housing complex project (583.6 billion won)", the "Singil District 2 redevelopment maintenance project (553.6 billion won)", and the Infrastructure Division's "Busan Port Jinhae New Port container terminal phase 1-1, section 2 (110.0 billion won)", among others.
Cumulative operating profit for the third quarter was tallied at 380.9 billion won, up 55.0% from the same period last year (245.7 billion won). Cumulative revenue for the third quarter was 9.467 trillion won, showing little difference from the same period last year (9.4774 trillion won).
GS Engineering and Construction's third-quarter debt ratio was 239.9%, down 10.1 percentage points from 250.0% at the end of last year. A GS Engineering and Construction official said, "Along with the stabilization of cost ratios by business division, the debt ratio is also continuing to decline."
