Movie review YouTuber "G Movie" (real name Na Hyeon-gap), who has about 3.9 million subscribers, has been identified as the tenant with the highest-priced jeonse contract at the ultra-luxury apartment complex Nine One Hannam in Yongsan District, Seoul.
According to the real estate industry and the Supreme Court registry on the 29th, G Movie in July signed a jeonse contract for one unit with an exclusive area of 206 square meters (about 75 pyeong) at Nine One Hannam by putting down a 7.7 billion won deposit. It was later confirmed that a jeonse right was established in September.
This is the highest-ever jeonse price for that size. Considering that a jeonse transaction for the same dwelling type at Nine One Hannam was made for 7 billion won in May, it rose by 700 million won in about two months.
Nine One Hannam is a luxury residential complex developed on the former site of the Yongsan U.S. military base's foreign apartment compound and was completed in 2019. It consists of a total of 341 households, and the complex features expansive green space and a 1-kilometer outer walking trail.
Security is particularly tight from the entrance to the complex, making it difficult for outsiders to enter. With top-tier security and privacy in Korea, many famous entertainers and business figures live there, including singer G-Dragon, BTS RM and Jimin, and actors Ju Jihoon and Lee Jong-seok.
Born in 1990, G Movie prepared to become a bank clerk and a flight attendant before launching a YouTube channel in 2017. He currently has 3.89 million subscribers, ranking No. 1 among movie review YouTubers in Korea.
In a past broadcast, Na said, "I started with my entire assets of 280,000 won and worked 360 days out of 365," adding, "Now I earn about four times a bank clerk's annual salary in a month."
