HS HWASUNG moved to expand its Seoul metropolitan area business for dwellings by winning back-to-back urban renewal contracts in Jamwon-dong in Gangnam and Seongsu-dong in northern Seoul.
HS HWASUNG said on the 27th that it won the small-scale reconstruction and maintenance project for Shinsung Row Houses in block 685-260, Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong District, on the 20th.
The site offers excellent transportation access, with both Seoul Forest Station and Ttukseom Station available. With abundant green space such as Seoul Forest, Seongil Children's Park, and Dongbu Small Park, and strong school districts including Gyeongdong Elementary School, Seongsu Middle School, Gyeongil Middle School, Seongsu High School, and Gyeongil High School, it is regarded as an area with high residential preference.
HS HWASUNG plans to transform the Seongsu-dong Shinsung Row Houses through reconstruction into a high-end residential facility with five underground floors to 24 above-ground floors and a total of 86 households. The estimated construction amount is about 102.3 billion won.
Earlier, in Sep., HS HWASUNG also secured the construction contract for the small-scale reconstruction and maintenance project for Jamwon Hansin Town in Jamwon-dong, Seocho District, Seoul. This marked HS HWASUNG's first entry into the Gangnam area of Seoul since its founding.
Jamwon Hansin Town Apartments sit in a station area within walking distance of Banpo Station on Subway Line 7, with easy access to Olympic-daero and the Gyeongbu Expressway. Strong school districts are nearby, including Sindong Elementary School, Banwon Elementary School, Gyeongwon Middle School, Sewha Girls' Middle and High School, and Banpo High School.
The small-scale reconstruction project for Jamwon Hansin Town will build new apartments on a 3,920-square-meter site with 16 to 29 above-ground floors in two buildings, totaling 125 households (exclusive areas of 52 to 74 square meters). The estimated construction amount is about 63.5 billion won.
HS HWASUNG plans to apply its high-end brand "EHCRA" to both complexes. Jamwon Hansin Town will be introduced as "EHCRA125," and Seongsu Shinsung Row Houses as "Seoul Forest EHCRA."
It also plans to introduce a lifestyle community—rare in small and mid-size reconstruction projects—such as a social lounge and private offices for residents.
EHCRA, HS HWASUNG's high-end residential brand, is the reverse spelling of the Greek word "ARCHE," meaning "beginning" and "essence." With the brand philosophy "Life becomes art," it presents a high-end residential brand that combines the value of a refined life with culture and the arts.
An official with HS HWASUNG's Urban Renewal Project Team said, "HS HWASUNG has succeeded in consecutive wins in Seoul's core areas as it moves to expand its business for dwellings in the metropolitan area," adding, "Based on the technology and on-site experience we have built up, we will create residential spaces that satisfy both cooperatives and the local community."
