Lotte Construction said on the 23rd that on the 22nd it simultaneously obtained certifications for the "anti-bribery management system" and the "compliance management system," established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR).
The anti-bribery management system and compliance management system certifications are international standard certifications that evaluate how effectively corporations have built and implemented anti-bribery and compliance management systems in accordance with the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certifications are granted to corporations that can identify in advance risks such as compliance violations that an organization may face, and that can control and manage those risks.
Lotte Construction said it has strengthened its framework to prevent risks arising from legal violations by continuously promoting activities of the Fair Trade Compliance Program (CP) every year, with the Compliance Office at the center.
The Compliance Office is spreading a culture of voluntary compliance across the organization by publishing the voluntary compliance manual that serves as conduct guidelines for executives and employees, operating the Voluntary Compliance Council, and introducing an incentive system. It publishes "CP TIMES" every month in a card news format to help executives and employees more easily understand changes in laws and systems, and shares potential violation cases that may occur in the field through subcontracting training at all sites. If a subcontracting dispute arises, it immediately convenes a Dispute Mediation Council to actively resolve the dispute.
In addition, Lotte Construction designates its company anniversary each year as "Compliance Day" to take the lead in spreading a culture of fair trade, ethical management, and compliance management, and focuses on raising companywide compliance awareness. Vice Chairman Park Hyeon-cheol is also personally emphasizing the internalization of compliance and ethical awareness among executives and employees through compliance training, as well as strengthening win-win cooperation activities.
