The Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH) drew about 8,400 applicants for the first tenant recruitment of "Mirinae House (Newlyweds/Newborns Purchase-Lease Housing II)," introduced to ease housing costs for newlyweds. The average competition rate was 51.6 to 1.
SH said on the 23rd that 8,467 people applied for 164 Mirinae House units, including Somi The Class Hangang, posting an average competition rate of 51.6 to 1.
Somi The Class Hangang (Yeongdeungpo District) recorded the highest competition rate at 114.8 to 1. By dwellings, the competition rates were ▲ Somi The Class Hangang (Yeongdeungpo District) 114.8 to 1 ▲ Sky Foret (Dongjak District) 114.1 to 1 ▲ Supreme The Hium (Gangseo District) 70.8 to 1 ▲ Le Pied Munjeong (Songpa District) 70.6 to 1 ▲ Jayang 1034 (Gwangjin District) 63.9 to 1, all showing high demand.
SH is scheduled to announce the candidates subject to document screening the same day. It will then conduct additional screening to check eligibility, income, asset, and non-homeownership criteria, select the successful applicants, and announce them on Jan. 7 next year.
Hwang Sang-ha, president of SH, said, "We will focus our capabilities on providing a high-quality, childrearing-friendly residential environment where newlyweds and engaged couples will want to have and raise children."
