SK ecoplant said on the 12th it will hold the 2025 ConTech Meet-Up Day, an open innovation competition for artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and semiconductor breakthrough technologies and solutions.
ConTech Meet-Up Day is an open technology innovation competition organized by SK ecoplant for startups and small and medium-sized and mid-sized corporations. Launched in 2020, it marks its sixth year. It aims to identify corporations with breakthrough technologies in AI, robots, and semiconductors and achieve commercialization through joint research and development and funding links.
A total of 14 public, research, and investment institutions will co-host the event, including the Korea Innovation Foundation, the South Chungcheong Province Office of Small and Medium Venture Business, Seoul National University, Hoseo University, the Seoul, Gyeongnam, and Chungnam Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation, the Korea International Trade Association, the Seoul Business Agency, SK Securities, and Synergy IB Investment.
The competition categories are a total of eight fields: ▲ industrial process efficiency (Industry AI) ▲ generative AI ▲ AI security ▲ wearable (Wearable AI) ▲ robots ▲ semiconductors ▲ fuel cells ▲ others. Any startup or small and medium-sized or mid-sized corporations with related breakthrough technologies can apply freely.
Document submissions are available on the SK ecoplant website until Sept. 25. The announcement of the final winners and the awards ceremony are scheduled for Nov. following document review and presentation judging. The judging will comprehensively consider the potential for joint technology development, applicability, business feasibility, and technological excellence.
Corporations selected as final awardees will receive support such as government funds and investment attraction from the co-participating public, research, and investment institutions. They will conduct joint research and development with SK ecoplant and related subsidiaries. The parties plan to pursue collaboration for technology commercialization after further advancement.
