HS HWASUNG announced on the 5th that it has won the contract for the expansion of the parking lot at Asan Medical Center in Songpa District, Seoul.
This project involves the construction of two additional floors, expanding the parking building from 5 floors to 6 floors. The total floor area is approximately 17,222 square meters, and the contract amount is about 19 billion won. The construction period is 9 months, from this month to May of next year, and HS HWASUNG will carry out the work exclusively.
This expansion aims to improve the capacity in response to the increasing parking demand at the hospital and enhance convenience for visitors. A representative from HS HWASUNG explained that effective project management and safety construction capabilities are necessary since construction must proceed alongside hospital operations. HS HWASUNG plans to meticulously establish construction phase plans to ensure that the functions and operations of hospital facilities are not disrupted, prioritizing quality and safety in the construction process.
In August, HS HWASUNG also secured the contract for the construction of the main building and parking lot at the new hospital of Daegu Catholic University in Chilgok.
Song Jae-seop, head of the construction estimation team at HS HWASUNG, said, "Winning consecutive contracts for hospital ancillary facilities and medical facility projects, such as the expansion of the parking lot at Asan Medical Center and the construction of the new Chilgok Catholic hospital, is a testament to HS HWASUNG's construction capabilities." He added, "We will ensure that there are no disruptions to hospital operations by thoroughly managing safety and construction zones, allowing all visitors and hospital personnel to feel reassured during the construction."
