HDC Hyundai Development Company has announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the joint development of smart construction technology utilizing a drone platform as part of its introduction of a smart construction environment with Meisa on the 4th.
The signing ceremony held at HDC Hyundai Development Company's headquarters on the 3rd was attended by Min Seong-woo, Head of the Building Division of HDC Hyundai Development Company, Choi Seok-won, CEO of Meisa, and Ho Myeong-ki, Head of Team of HDC Hyundai Development Company.
Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue joint research and development aimed at enhancing productivity and safety at construction sites based on drone and building information modeling (BIM) convergence technology and implementing the next-generation digital construction environment.
In particular, they plan to progressively develop and apply various smart construction solutions including ▲AI-based file detection and penetration depth calculation technology ▲real-time drone video streaming for safety management ▲BIM-based three-dimensional modeling ▲process and cost management solutions ▲frame inspection technology.
An official from HDC Hyundai Development Company said, "We will lead the smart construction environment by merging digital technology and construction engineering, and will drive a paradigm shift in the construction industry through differentiated technological capabilities that secure safety, quality, and cost competitiveness simultaneously."
Meisa is a recognized corporation that supplies drone and satellite data-based digital twin solutions to many domestic construction companies. Through this agreement, it will participate in HDC Hyundai Development Company's field verification and the advancement of convergence solutions.
HDC Hyundai Development Company plans to increase construction process efficiency while managing the introduction of Meisa's drone platform across all sites and collaborate on the discovery of new business models utilizing smart construction technology. Through this MOU, the two companies will solidify the framework for developing smart construction technology utilizing drone platforms and will take the lead in creating a smart construction ecosystem through joint research and technology verification.
