In the second half of this year, the average daily wage of construction workers is reported to have increased by about 1% compared to the first half.
According to the Construction Association of Korea's '2025 second half application construction industry wage survey' on the 1st, the average daily wage across 132 construction occupations was recorded at 278,832 won. This figure is 1.02% higher than in the first half of the year (276,011 won).
By occupation, the average wage for 91 general construction job types was 267,306 won, which is 1.15% higher than in the first half. Additionally, the AUK (434,567 won) and national heritage job types (322,285 won) increased by 1.06% and 0.03%, respectively, compared to the first half. The average wage for nuclear power job types rose by 2.81% to 241,443 won.
The statistics from this construction industry wage survey target 2,000 construction sites nationwide and reflect the wages of construction workers surveyed and compiled in May 2025, which can be applied to construction cost calculations starting today.
