Hyundai E&C announced on the 31st that it has awarded a total of 140 million won in bonuses to 27 outstanding site managers selected under its newly introduced 'Excellent Partner Site Manager Award System.'
Hyundai E&C held an awards ceremony at its headquarters in Gye-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, on the 29th.
The company selected the top eight construction types by order size among domestic business sites (earthworks, reinforced concrete, electrical works, plumbing, earth structure, mechanical piping, interior woodwork, and wet work). After evaluations by construction type, the top eight were chosen as 'best managers,' and 19 others, ranking in the top 5%, were selected as 'outstanding managers.'
The best managers were awarded a maximum bonus of 20 million won and a plaque. Outstanding managers received products worth 1 million won and a plaque.
Among the evaluation criteria—quality, safety, cost, and schedule management—safety management capability was the core factor with the highest weight in all evaluation processes, and sites where accidents occurred were excluded from the award.
Lee Han-woo, CEO of Hyundai E&C, said, 'As the construction industry is a people-centered industry, the professionalism, judgment, and responsibility of site managers directly lead to Hyundai E&C's trust,' and noted, 'We will work together with our partners to create substantial changes for a sustainable future in the construction industry.'
