The Hoban Group announced on the 26th that it supported cultural experience activities at a summer camp event for families of pediatric cancer patients held at 'Splass Resort' in Deoksan-myeon, Yesan-gun, South Chungcheong Province, on the 24th. This event, hosted by the Pediatric Cancer NGO Hanbit (Hanbit Love Sponsorship Association), took place over three days and two nights from August 23 to 25, and included over 110 participants comprising patients, their families, and organizers.
The Hoban Group provided participants with experience programs operated at Splass Resort. This program included activities designed to enhance children's creativity and family bonding, such as making keychains and magnets with special paper 'Shrinkles,' which shrinks when heat is applied, and coloring cups and plates by applying designs to pre-fired pottery through pottery painting. Participants created special memories with their handmade artworks and spent meaningful time with their families.
A representative from the Hoban Group said, "I hope that the pediatric cancer patients and their families were able to set aside the difficulties of the treatment process for a while and enjoy a pleasant and warm time through this activity," and noted, "In the future, the Hoban Group will continue to pay close attention to the medical field and support for pediatric patients, providing practical assistance."
Meanwhile, the Hoban Group is engaging in various social contribution activities to practice the value of life respect. In particular, to support the critical blood supply necessary for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients, it has been continuing the 'Love Blood Donation Campaign' with employees every year. Additionally, the cumulative amount of donations from the Hoban Group aimed at expanding medical research infrastructure and supporting severely ill pediatric patients, delivered to major medical institutions nationwide, including Yonsei University Medical Center, has reached 2.1 billion won.
