Hyundai E&C presented a blueprint for the Apgujeong District 2 site, which is set to select its first reconstruction construction company.
Hyundai E&C unveiled its vision for the future of the '100-year city,' continuing the heritage of the Apgujeong Hyundai Apartments through its bidding proposal 'OWN THE 100' on the 25th.
Hyundai E&C plans to present a new residential culture through this reconstruction of Apgujeong District 2. ▲ Landmark design ▲ forest landscaping embracing Hangang Park ▲ an all-in-one (AII-in-One) community spanning generations ▲ convenient services and a smart daily life ▲ the idea that it is a city, not just an apartment are the 'five visions' proposed.
This vision aims to materialize convenient living spaces incorporating premium views of the Hangang River for all generations, expansive green spaces, the largest community ever in a reconstruction project, and the robotics technology of Hyundai Motor Group, encompassing transportation, education, shopping, and culture.
The 'landmark design' is a symbolic starting point for the reconstruction of Apgujeong District 2. The complex will transform into a scale of 2,571 units across 14 buildings, with 5 basement floors and 65 above-ground floors, arranged to ensure all units can view the Hangang River. The high-rise buildings will adopt variable and robust structural designs to redefine the skyline along the Hangang River.
The 'forest landscaping,' connecting the central park of the complex and Hangang Park, is also eye-catching. Various carefully selected tree species from across the nation will create a green space that is beautiful in all four seasons. It will be designed for easy access from the complex to Hangang Park.
The 'community space' will be the largest ever created among reconstruction complexes. It will feature a variety of facilities including a fitness center, swimming pool, golf driving range, and performance hall. An 'all-in-one community' will be implemented, allowing access to 100 different programs in one space. The community space, where all generations can mingle, will greatly invigorate the daily lives of residents, according to a representative of Hyundai E&C.
The 'hotel-style concierge service' enhances the quality of life for residents. Tailored premium services such as valet parking and housekeeping will be provided to offer a hotel-like experience within the complex. Plans are in place to incorporate the robotics technology of Hyundai Motor Group to support unmanned deliveries and parking.
Hyundai E&C proposed a residential paradigm of 'not an apartment, but a city' for Apgujeong District 2. A one-stop corridor connecting Apgujeong Station on Subway Line 3 and the Hyundai Department Store headquarters will be established, consolidating all living zones including education, culture, shopping, and nature into one.
A representative of Hyundai E&C noted, 'We encapsulated the determination to continue the lives, pride, and value that residents of Apgujeong District 2 hold' and added, 'With a sense of responsibility that once made the Apgujeong area synonymous with luxury residential culture, we will complete a new 100-year city that the world will pay attention to.'
Hyundai E&C has been designated as the preferred negotiator after submitting a single bid for the reconstruction project of Apgujeong District 2. The construction cost is estimated at 2.7 trillion won, making it the fastest moving project among six special planning zones in the Apgujeong area. A general meeting to select the construction company is scheduled for September 27.
