Samsung C&T has been selected as the construction company for the reconstruction of Samho Garden 5 in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Previously, Samsung C&T also won the reconstruction project for Gaepo Woosung 7 in Gangnam-gu, securing a bid worth about 900 billion won in one day.
Samsung C&T noted on the 24th that it was finally selected as the construction company at a general meeting held by the Samho Garden 5 reconstruction association on the 23rd. The association had previously designated Samsung C&T as the preferred negotiation target last March.
The reconstruction of Samho Garden 5 is a project to construct two buildings of 4 basement levels to 35 stories above ground, totaling 306 units and additional welfare facilities on a site measuring 13,365 square meters in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu. The project cost is approximately 236.9 billion won.
Samsung C&T suggested the new complex name as "Raemian Parafique Banpo." Along with this, they stated they would create a sky community offering views of the Han River and Namsan Tower, a central plaza of 2,000 square meters, a fitness club, a golf club, a sports lounge, and community facilities with 30 programs.
A representative from Samsung C&T said, "We have included a variety of differentiated and specialized proposals to create a landmark that will become a new symbol of Banpo," and added, "We will do our best to carry out the project to complete a special premium residence beyond what the association expects."
The day before, Samsung C&T was also selected as the construction company for Gaepo Woosung 7, with a project cost of 675.7 billion won, achieving a total bid of 912.6 billion won in just one day.
