The health of a 30s Myanmar national worker who was electrocuted at the POSCO E&C construction site for the highway is recovering.
According to the Southern Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency on the 21st, the victim, referred to as A, who was transferred to the hospital after losing consciousness in an electrocution accident on the 4th, showed improvement, being able to eat rice and raise his arms.
A, who had fallen into a state of unconsciousness, opened his eyes on the 12th, eight days after the incident. At that time, A could not speak, but showed signs of regaining consciousness by recognizing faces. By this day, the tenth day since the incident, A had recovered enough to consume food.
On the 4th at around 1:34 p.m., A was electrocuted while inspecting a pump installed in a water puddle at the Gwangmyeong-Seoul Highway extension construction site in Okgil-dong, Gwangmyeong, which is managed by POSCO E&C. At that time, A was transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
