The Choiip Village remodeling association plans to push forward with the remodeling project, aiming for construction to begin in December after relocating in the first half of next year.
According to the remodeling industry on the 15th, the Suseo Choiip Village remodeling association held a general meeting on the 9th to finalize the contribution fee for members.
During the general meeting, a vote was conducted on a motion to set the final construction cost and member contribution fees at 7.15 million won per 3.3㎡ and 350 million won, respectively. This motion was passed with approximately 1,100 votes in favor from about 1,200 participating members.
The Dong-A, Samik, and Poonglim apartments, completed in 1994, consist of 12 buildings, ranging from basement level 1 to 15 stories with a total of 1,620 dwellings located at 664, Pungdeokcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin.
The remodeling is expected to transform the complex into 12 buildings, with 4 basement levels and 19 above-ground stories, totaling 1,713 dwellings. The 93 new dwellings created by the remodeling will be offered for general sale.
Through the remodeling, the complex is projected to evolve from a single-area complex of exclusive 59㎡ dwellings into a mid-sized large complex. The share for members will increase from the existing single housing type of exclusive 59㎡ to approximately 77㎡ after remodeling. The units for general sale will consist of two dwelling types: approximately 84㎡ and approximately 120㎡.
The Choiip Village remodeling association plans to commence relocation from January to April next year, aiming for construction to begin in December of the same year. The expected move-in date is December 2030, with a scheduled construction period of 46 months. The construction company is POSCO Engineering and Construction.
The Choiip Village apartments were the first to pass architectural review among the remodeling projects in Yongin, and they also received business approval for the first time. After forming a remodeling promotion committee in 2018, the remodeling association was established in July 2019, about a year later. In December of the same year, POSCO Engineering and Construction was chosen as the construction company.
Subsequently, in August 2021, changes to the district unit plan were completed, and in August 2022, the urban planning review was also finished. After passing the architectural review in 2023, approval for the remodeling business plan was granted by Yongin City in August of last year.
