Doosan Construction announced on the 14th that it recorded a consolidated revenue of 443.6 billion won, an operating profit of 45.4 billion won, and a net profit of 31.5 billion won for the second quarter of this year. Compared to the second quarter of last year, revenue decreased by 31.5%, but operating profit increased by 66.1%, and net profit increased by 35.1%.
For the first half of the year, it recorded a revenue of 868.4 billion won, an operating profit of 53.6 billion won, and a net profit of 35.7 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, revenue decreased by 24.1%, while operating profit and net profit increased by 0.12% and 7.2%, respectively.
The revenue base is evaluated to have been effective due to a data-driven sales strategy. The 'Changwon Mega City Xi & Weave' sold out in just over 80 days after starting contracts, and 'Doosan Weave the Zenith Pungnae-Hopyeong Station N49' and 'Riverscent Prugio Weave' also quickly completed their sales. In the second half of the year, plans are set to drive expansion through projects such as Bugae District 4, Dohwa District 4, and Suwon Movie redevelopment in the metropolitan area.
In addition, they are establishing a portfolio that covers both public and private sectors, including the signing of a joint business execution agreement at Banghak Station and Ssangmun Station on the eastern side of the Seoul No. 1 and No. 2 urban complex project sites. The total order amount for the first half of the year, including these projects, was 839.3 billion won, maintaining an order backlog of about 10 trillion won.
A Doosan Construction official said, "We completed contracts for first-half sales complexes based on precise demand analysis and customized marketing," and added, "We plan to carry forward the successful sales results from the first half while simultaneously promoting profitability and growth in scale."
He also noted, "It was a time when a strategy prioritizing profitability and stability over scale led to results in a highly uncertain market environment," and stated, "In the second half, we will strengthen sustainable growth through expanded sales and securing growth momentum."
Doosan Construction plans to supply projects such as 'Bugae District 4 housing redevelopment project', 'Dohwa District 4 housing redevelopment project', and 'Suwon Movie redevelopment project' in the metropolitan area during the second half of the year.
