Daewoo E&C proposed a luxury landscape design for Gaepo Woosung 7th in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where it is securing construction rights.
Daewoo E&C noted that it suggested a plan to develop the entire complex, 'Gaepo Woosung 7th (project name Summit Franity),' like a single park on the 12th.
This design was jointly created by the French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who designed the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Élysée Palace, and the Louis Vuitton headquarters, along with VIRON. Kim Young-min, a professor at the University of Seoul and design director at VIRON, proposed a design that minimizes above-ground structures and raises the height of the pilotis, with the concept of "the texture of nature engraved in the land breathing with the city," creating an entire complex that resembles a single park.
Summit Franity was designed to integrate art and media using artificial intelligence (AI), allowing residents to directly engage with artwork and communicate with one another. Notably, one of the landscaping facilities, the 'Interactive AI Art Zone,' analyzes direct movements such as people's actions, sounds, and touches, showcasing different media art each time.
The 'Art Playground' installed within the complex will be a play area where children's imagination unfolds like art. A lion-shaped play structure draws attention, inspired by the symbolic animal of the nearby Jungdong High School.
Additionally, the 'Waterfall Garden' is a central garden that utilizes a sunken space naturally adjacent to a restaurant, featuring aesthetic water facilities and a resting area. The wall fountain installed in this central garden helps harmonize with the surrounding natural environment by using water that flows along the walls.
The landscape-specialized design of Summit Franity also includes the 'Secret Piloti Garden.' This garden, created in the pilotis space beneath all buildings, consists of a private garden, a private outdoor gym, and a welcome garden. Notably, the private garden is made up of three themes: a stone garden, a forest garden, and a water garden, and is accessible only to residents of the respective building.
A Daewoo E&C official stated, "With Daewoo E&C's unique design capabilities recognized both domestically and internationally, we will present the essence of landscape aesthetics," adding, "We will offer a most special life where every space above ground becomes a park to our members."
