Samsung C&T's construction division announced on the 11th that it plans to implement an underground parking lot system using artificial intelligence (AI) technology at Gaepo Woosung 7th.
The advanced technologies being applied by Samsung C&T include ▲ AI integrated parking guidance service ▲ AI parking management service ▲ AI electric vehicle charging service, among three. Each system is configured to be organically linked, considering the safety, convenience, and efficiency of the residents.
First, through the AI integrated parking guidance service, vehicle numbers are recognized in real-time upon entry, and for resident vehicles, previous parking data is analyzed to recommend and guide to preferred parking locations or areas close to their residence.
The parking location can be checked through the home's pad and Samsung C&T's home platform 'HomeNick' app. When going out, using the smart exit function through the SID (Smart Info Display) installed at the entrance allows the elevator to be called and operated automatically to the parking level, flashing the parking area lights to easily identify the parking location.
The AI parking management service that automatically monitors the underground parking lot in real-time provides functionality to notify about potential issues such as battery drain or low tire pressure for vehicles parked for long periods without movement. It also ensures quick responses to illegal parking in electric vehicle charging areas and disabled parking areas, aiming to maintain a spacious and pleasant parking environment.
Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is also provided. Upon entry, it guides to the optimal location among the available electric vehicle charging facilities. After completing resident authentication and charging using the vehicle number, the fees are automatically settled as part of the apartment management costs to enhance convenience.
Inside the homes, a dashboard is provided via the home pad to allow residents to easily check the status of charging facilities, such as whether electric vehicle chargers are available. When charging is complete, notifications are sent to the respective unit to encourage vehicle movement, allowing for efficient operation so that other vehicles can utilize the space.
Another feature is the fire response solution that can be implemented in electric vehicle charging areas. AI CCTVs equipped with flame detection sensors are installed in the charging areas to quickly detect fires and notify managers. Additionally, plans are in place to add suffocation extinguishers and sprinklers in each parking area to enable safe and rapid suppression.
Moreover, a barrier plate is installed at the parking lot entrance to prevent flood risks due to sudden downpours and to establish direct access routes for firefighters in emergencies, providing a safe living environment for residents.
Samsung C&T proposed an innovative underground space that enhances space efficiency and mobility convenience by securing the maximum number of parking spaces in the Gaepo area at 2.21 per household, along with an 'expressway' structure allowing access from the parking entrance to the 4th underground floor in one go.
Kim Myung-seok, head of the Housing Business Division at Samsung C&T (vice president), noted, "We will create an innovative space that maximizes premium experiences in the parking areas that residents encounter every day, highlighting the pinnacle of AI technology."
