The Daechi Sangyong 1st apartment complex in Seoul will be transformed into a water-friendly residential area with a scale of up to 49 floors and 999 units.
The Seoul city government announced on the 8th that it approved the review proposal for the 'Daechi Sangyong 1st apartment reconstruction project management plan (amendment)' at the 7th integrated review committee for maintenance projects on the 7th.
The Daechi Sangyong 1st apartment complex is located in the Gangnam district, Daechi-dong, near Hangnyeoul station of line 3. The existing aging apartment complex, consisting of 5 buildings with 15 floors and 630 units, constructed in 1983, will be transformed into a complex with 6 buildings and a maximum of 49 floors with 999 units (including 132 public rental units) through the reconstruction and maintenance project.
A small park will be created within the complex, allowing local residents to easily access the Yangjaecheon stream. Plans include open facilities for local residents such as a Seoul-style kids' café, a shared care center, and a daycare.
A commercial area and a gathering plaza will be established. The heights and layout of the buildings have been adjusted considering the walking paths along Yangjaecheon and views from Daemosan.
The Heukseok 9 district, located in a convenient area with access to Heukseok station on subway line 9 and Olympic Boulevard, will undergo redevelopment to house 1,540 units across 20 buildings, with 7 underground floors and 25 above-ground floors (1,278 units for sale and 262 public units), along with community service facilities.
