On the 1st, the Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it will enhance its living support in addition to housing assistance for self-reliant youths and homeless adolescents.

LH signed a business agreement with Citibank Korea and Save the Children at the Citibank Korea headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, for the second year of the "Together Support Project."

Attending the agreement ceremony were Cho Kyung-sook, head of LH's Housing Welfare Division; Eom Gyeong-sik, executive director of the Marketing Communication Division of Citibank Korea; and Kim Hee-kwon, head of the institutional sector of Save the Children.

The "Together Support Project" is a program that helps self-reliant youths and homeless adolescents who applied for housing support from LH by providing various goods, self-reliance white papers, online educational content, and more. Through last year's first-year project, a total of 300 million won worth of goods and related programs were provided to 400 self-reliant youths.

In this second-year support project, the target support has been expanded from self-reliant youths to include homeless adolescents, as well as various customized support programs.

A new "themed relay lecture" series on housing, finance, and employment, based on the "Self-Reliance White Paper" co-authored by LH and Citibank Korea employees, as well as a one-on-one mentoring program, will also be offered.

According to the agreement, LH will establish application windows for self-reliant youths and homeless adolescents living in rental housing and will participate in housing education programs. Citibank Korea will provide financial support and financial education programs for project operations, while Save the Children will manage sponsorship funds and be responsible for project planning and operations.

Since 2020, LH has been operating the "Youth+Start" program, which includes self-reliance support through housing support and living assistance in rental housing, as well as job support such as granting additional points for employment with LH.

Cho Kyung-sook, head of LH's Housing Welfare Division, noted, "Continuous interest and support are needed for self-reliant youths and homeless adolescents to fully become self-reliant based on stable housing," and said, "We will continue to explore various collaboration opportunities with different organizations and not spare any related support to be a strong support as youths take their first steps into society."
