On the 28th, the domestic cement company Sungshin Cement announced that it has developed a 'donation agreement system' that allows employees to directly choose donation organizations and amounts, participating through automatic deductions from their salaries.
The donation agreement system, introduced this month, is based on employees' autonomy and choice, allowing them to select their preferred organizations from various options and automatically donating a specific amount from their salaries each month. The donation records of participating employees will be forwarded to the respective organizations, enabling them to receive income deduction benefits during year-end tax adjustments. Employees can easily manage their donations through the company's HR portal, and they can also freely handle duplication and cancellation of requests.
This donation agreement system aims to systematically and transparently manage donations, expanding social contributions that employees can feel, following existing activities.
Since 2010, Sungshin Cement has been collecting and donating the spare change from employees' salaries each month through its 'spare change collection' initiative. This fund has been delivered to welfare institutions and child medical support programs in Korea, benefiting neighbors who are marginalized or facing difficulties.
A representative from Sungshin Cement said, 'By developing a system that allows employees to choose donation organizations while respecting their individual wishes, we aim to create a sustainable culture of sharing through voluntary participation.'
