Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 22nd that it received the highest rating of "Excellence" in the "Cybersecurity Status Assessment" conducted by the National Intelligence Service.
The National Intelligence Service conducts the Cybersecurity Status Assessment annually to prevent and respond to cyberattacks and threats against national and public institutions.
This year's evaluation was conducted based on the implementation of 42 items across three areas: management security, technical security, and crisis response capability. LH achieved improved scores in all categories compared to the previous year, resulting in the "Excellence" rating.
To respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, LH expanded its dedicated information protection organization from a Level 2 "Information Security Center" to a Level 1 organization called the "Information Security Division" last year and has continuously strengthened its cybersecurity response system.
Not only did it introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based intelligent security monitoring system, but it also enhanced security and response capabilities through the establishment of an integrated monitoring system linked with private cloud services, the introduction of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to strengthen anomaly detection, and the promotion of advance consulting with private professional organizations for vulnerability assessment and proactive measures.
Kim Jae-kyung, head of LH's Management Support Headquarters, said, "We are continuously enhancing our responsiveness to safely protect citizens' valuable information from cyber threats," and added, "We plan to use the achievement of this 'Excellence' rating as a stepping stone to elevate LH's security level through more diverse cybersecurity enhancement strategies."
