KCC announced on the 22nd that it has collaborated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to produce and distribute the 'Seoul Color Standard Collection.'
The standard color collection created this time is designed to enhance safety as well as reflect the aesthetics of the city and the unique identity colors of Seoul, thereby creating a safer and more pleasant urban environment.
KCC and the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a business agreement for the implementation and revitalization of Seoul colors in December last year, followed by another agreement in March this year for the development and dissemination of standard safety designs in Seoul.
The standard color collection is an official color guide established to reinforce the identity of Seoul and ensure consistency in public design. It includes a total of 25 colors such as ▲this year's Seoul color 'Green Aurora,' ▲the 'standard public facilities development project' color that was developed through the project, ▲'Seoul safety light color' for enhancing visibility in emergencies and guiding safe evacuations, ▲'Seoul safety color' designated to recognize various hazards in industrial settings and prevent worker safety accidents, and ▲'Seoul representative color' that embodies the identity of Seoul.
The colors included in the standard color collection are planned to be utilized in future government-contracted projects and the design of public facilities. The KCC luminous paint 'Lumisoft,' selected as the Seoul safety light color, will be applied in some tunnels in Seoul to secure visibility in emergencies and allow for rapid evacuation.
A KCC official noted, 'We developed this color collection to endow Seoul's color identity through collaboration with the city, aiming to create a color environment where technology and design harmonize. We will continue to pursue ongoing technological development and partnerships to enhance the quality of public design, particularly in terms of safety and urban identity.'
