Dongbu Corporation announced on the 17th that it has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the 'Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan S1-1, S1-3 block private participation public housing construction project' commissioned by the Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH).
This project involves the construction of apartments and auxiliary facilities over a site area of 100,291 square meters and a total floor area of 245,754 square meters across blocks S1-1 and S1-3 in the Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan area, with one basement level and 29 floors above ground. It will consist of a total of 1,610 housing units (659 units in S1-1 block, 951 units in S1-3 block), with a total construction cost of approximately 481.9 billion won. The construction period is 36 months from the start date. Dongbu Corporation will lead this project as the primary contractor, holding 51% of the consortium's equity.
The Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan S1 district is a key area of the government's 'third new town development plan.' This place is a strategic project site aimed at balanced development in the southwestern part of the metropolitan area and residential stability. It is expected to enhance self-sustaining functions, such as transportation, education, and job creation, alongside various public housing supplies, turning the area into a future growth hub. Dongbu Corporation plans to construct housing complexes that enhance residents' quality of life by integrating eco-friendly designs and smart technologies.
Dongbu Corporation is expanding its footprint in the private participation public housing market by participating in projects this year, including the ▲ Geomam S-3BL and B-1BL integrated private participation public housing construction project and the ▲ Pyeongtaek Goddeok A-12BL, A-27BL, A-65BL integrated private participation public housing construction projects. Going forward, it aims to showcase differentiated complexes that prioritize quality and safety while realizing sustainable housing values.
Dongbu Corporation plans to finalize the design proposal for the S1-1 and S1-3 block projects within the Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan district after detailed discussions with LH and then commence construction.
A representative from Dongbu Corporation stated, 'The Uiwang, Gunpo, Ansan district is a key area where residential demand is concentrated in the southwestern Gyeonggi region,' and added, 'We will provide residents with a higher quality living environment by prioritizing quality and safety in construction.'
