DL Construction announced on the 17th that it has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the 5th private investment public housing construction project (private investment project) for blocks S2-4 and S2-6 in Gwangmyeong City, which was ordered by Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH).
Through this private investment project contract, DL Construction has returned to the public market approximately four years after the integrated private investment residential environment improvement project for Busan Yongho 6 and Daejeon Cheon-dong 1 in 2021.
DL Construction participated in this project as the leading company with 51% equity. They formed a consortium with Jungheung Construction, KR Industrial, and Pungchang Construction. Design is handled by Geunwon Architectural and Haengrim Architecture.
The total project cost for Gwangmyeong City S2-4 and S2-6 BL is 532.9 billion won. DL Construction plans to supply a total of 1,939 dwellings. The supply types are ▲ S2-4 BL (708 dwellings, New: Home selection type) ▲ S2-6 BL (1,231 dwellings, New: Home general type). Both S2-4 and S2-6 BL are scheduled to start construction in December 2031 and be completed in October 2034.
S2-4 BL will be developed as a complex of 708 dwellings with 2 basement levels and a maximum of 29 floors across six buildings. It will supply small to medium-sized dwellings with exclusive areas ranging from 59 to 84 square meters, offered as New: Home selection type (with sales after 6 years of residence). A 100% 4-BAY floor plan with cross-ventilation structure will be applied, and an open layout toward the Mokgamcheon riverside park nearby is expected to enhance customer satisfaction.
S2-6 BL will be built as a total of 1,231 dwellings across 11 buildings with 2 basement levels and a maximum of 25 floors. It will offer exclusive areas ranging from 59 to 84 square meters, supplied as New: Home general type (existing public sale housing). Like S2-4 BL, it will also feature a 100% 4-BAY floor plan with cross-ventilation structure, and the complex is intended to be arranged considering an open educational environment towards the school road.
The Gwangmyeong-Siheung public housing district development project is expected to supply 67,000 dwellings over an area of approximately 12.71 million square meters, creating a self-sufficient core city in the southwestern Gyeonggi Province that distributes urban residential and business functions.
