The Korea Overseas Construction Association held a briefing on 'Integrated K-City Platform Cooperation Methods' on the 11th at the Korea Overseas Construction Education Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This briefing was organized to build a practical collaboration foundation centered on the K-City platform and to explore joint overseas advancement strategies across industries.
Daewoo E&C introduced its ongoing overseas real estate development cases during the briefing. The Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) presented the status of the development project for the southeastern new town in Vietnam.
Subsequently, the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), Samsung Electronics, CJ OliveNetworks, Kakao Mobility, and Studio Realive shared ways to apply their technologies and solutions to actual urban development projects and presented examples of integrated cooperation, garnering significant interest.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed among the Korea Overseas Construction Association, CJ OliveNetworks, Pactra International, and Studio Realive. The participating corporations plan to intensify execution-focused collaboration centered on the K-City platform, including promoting overseas pilot projects, content and technology collaboration, holding joint briefings, and sharing best practices.
The agreement aims to expand the overseas advancement of digital-based smart infrastructure and to concretize a collaboration model based on integration.
A representative from the association noted, 'This briefing was a place to establish a practical foundation for collaboration between industries linked to actual projects, beyond merely introducing the platform.' They added, 'We plan to provide ongoing post-support to confirm mutual areas of interest through business meetings among participating corporations and to facilitate specific business discussions.'
