DL E&C announced on the 9th that it will actively expand the market application of the "D-Silence Service," the country's first developed floor noise alert system.
The D-Silence Service automatically sends alerts through a wall pad when sensors installed on walls in the living room and pantry of apartments detect floor vibrations above a certain level. It issues a "caution" alert if vibrations causing noise exceeding the Ministry of Environment's floor noise standards (39 dB(A)) occur more than three times in 10 seconds. If the vibrations occur more than six times in 10 seconds, a "warning" alert is sent to the households exceeding the floor noise standards.
Based on individual floor noise alert statistics, it can provide clear criteria, which may help practically resolve floor noise disputes.
The D-Silence Service was first applied in the "ePyeonhan World 1" complex in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, which opened in 2023. According to a survey conducted among residents, over 80% of families responded that they would continue to use the service. Satisfaction with the service was particularly high among families with young children.
Based on the commercialization results, DL E&C has begun to actively expand its market application. The D-Silence Service will be applied to major complexes, including "Acro Hannam," which it won in May, and "Acro de Seocho," which is set for sale next month. In the future, the company plans to apply this service to key complexes in Seongsu, Apgujeong, Yeouido, and Mokdong.
A DL E&C official noted, "There is a strong market interest in the D-Silence Service, our country's first developed differentiated technology for floor noise," and added, "We plan to quickly apply it to meet consumer needs for escaping from floor noise."
