The Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 23rd that it received the "Minister of National Defense's Appreciation Plaque" from the Ministry of National Defense in recognition of its outstanding achievements in the employment stability and job support of veterans.
This appreciation plaque is in accordance with the Ministry of National Defense's "Exemplary National Veterans and Public Service Awards for the Month of National Defense." The Ministry of National Defense awards the "Minister of National Defense's Appreciation Plaque" every year to institutions that have made significant contributions to employment stability policies, aiming to boost the pride and morale of veteran families.
LH has taken the lead in supporting continuous employment expansion policies by exceeding the legal quota (6%) for the classified hiring of veterans during new employee recruitment. It has hired 72 veterans over the past three years, expanding employment opportunities for veterans. This year, it plans to hire 41 new veterans to further support the employment opportunities of veterans.
Kim Jae-kyung, head of LH's Management Planning Division, noted, "LH is working to enhance the social recognition and value of veterans, not only by expanding veteran recruitment but also through social contribution projects for the renovation of veterans' dwellings." He added, "We will continue to do our best to contribute to the spread of a culture of honoring veterans."
