Kumho Engineering & Construction will build a new residential brand, 'Aterra,' at its 44-story high-rise landmark in Yeonsinnae, Seoul.
Kumho Engineering & Construction said on the 12th that it has been selected as the preferred negotiator for the 'Yeonsinnae Station Urban Public Housing Complex Project' promoted by the Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH). This project will require approximately 224.4 billion won. Kumho Engineering & Construction will serve as the lead manager, with Daebo Construction participating.
The 'Aterra' residential brand of Kumho Engineering & Construction will be applied for the first time in Seoul at this complex. 'Aterra,' a name combining art (ART), land (TERRA), and era (ERA), signifies the brand's goal to create a home as 'art on the land.'
The 'Yeonsinnae Station Urban Public Housing Complex Project' will be developed in the Bulgwandong area of Eunpyeong-gu, consisting of 6 basement levels and 44 above-ground floors across two buildings, with a total of 392 units, featuring exclusive areas ranging from 26 to 105 square meters. Of these, ▲246 units will be for public sale, ▲79 units will be shared profit-type, and ▲67 units will be for public rental.
The 'Urban Public Housing Complex Project' targets aging areas that are difficult for private development and is a new urban development model led by the public, which supplies housing and living infrastructure together. It will be pursued in a mixed-use development style where residential, commercial, and public facilities blend together, utilizing underused or aging land within urban areas. The entire process, from permitting to sales, will be led by the public.
A representative from Kumho Engineering & Construction noted, "This contract proves our capabilities in executing public projects and the competitiveness of our residential brand," adding, "We will create a landmark complex that will set a new residential standard in the northwest of Seoul, centered around Yeonsinnae, and contribute to local development."
