The Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 20th that it will implement a public housing project competition for the construction of 'excellent' grade long-lasting dwellings starting from the 21st.
Long-lasting dwellings refer to houses that possess excellent durability, variability, and ease of repair, making them capable of being maintained for a long time. According to the current building law, a long-lasting dwelling certification must be secured when constructing apartment buildings with more than 1,000 units, and they are classified into four grades (▲best ▲excellent ▲good ▲standard) based on durability, variability, and ease of repair.
To secure the 'excellent' grade, LH plans to reflect ▲the use of a ramen (beam, column) structure ▲an increase in the proportion of variable walls ▲the design of plumbing for bathrooms and toilets on the same floor.
This competition is a specialized public housing project driven by the goal of supplying 'excellent' grade long-lasting dwellings, with the project target area being the A1-2 block of Uiwang-Gun, Gunpo, and Ansan. A total of 963 units will be supplied as 'excellent' grade long-lasting dwellings under the New:Home selection type (public rental).
The application process for the competition will run until the 27th, with results to be announced in early July. LH plans to finalize the basic design in collaboration with the selected private business and complete the approval procedure for the housing construction project plan within the year after receiving the 'excellent' grade long-lasting dwelling certification.
This competition reflects new detailed evaluation criteria and obligations necessary for the certification of 'excellent' grade long-lasting dwellings. More details can be found in the announcement and competition guidelines posted on LH's website.
