Han River Asset Management, a company specializing in alternative investments in real estate and infrastructure, announced on the 19th that it has made a donation of 500 million won to the public corporation Ddiddimdol Foundation.
The donation from Han River Asset will be used for major social contribution programs led by Ddiddimdol Foundation, including the nationwide 'Club D Dreamer' nurturing program, junior golf tournaments and mentoring operations, and golf popularization programs.
World-renowned golf player Director Park Se-ri also attended the event. Director Park has participated in the 'Club D Dreamer' social contribution program for four consecutive years to nurture junior players and develop the golf industry, and recently opened 'SERI PAK with Yongin' to promote the creation of a multi-sport culture and nurture talent.
The 'Club D Dreamer' program has been fully operational since 2022 and has produced a total of 410 graduates to date. Including this year's graduates, the total number is 560. Among the graduates, there are many who are national representatives, reserve force members, and junior representatives.
This year, social contribution activities will be simultaneously conducted at four Club D-operated golf courses: Gangwon Chuncheon Club D The Players (27 holes), Jeonbuk Club D Geumgang (18 holes), Chungbuk Club D Boeun (18 holes), and Gyeongnam Club D Geochang (27 holes), as well as at Gyeonggi Paju Seowon Valley Country Club (45 holes).
Han River Asset Management obtained a license for concurrent operation as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) asset management company in December 2021 and is actively pursuing investments in the REIT and renewable energy (solar and wind) sectors. Recently, it is preparing to leap to a comprehensive asset management company by expanding its business area into traditional asset investment through its equity management headquarters.
The largest shareholder and founder is CEO Choi Jeong-hoon of YIDO, an eco-friendly corporation and value-up platform company. Currently, Han River Asset's assets under management (AUM) amount to about 5 trillion won based on commitments.
Meanwhile, the donation ceremony on that day was attended by Han River Asset CEO Jeon Yoo-hoon, Seowon Valley Country Club CEO Jeong Seok-cheon, and Ddiddimdol Foundation Secretary General Yeo Ji-ye.
