Samsung C&T's home platform "HomeNick" will be applied to SK Eco Plant's dwelling brand.
On the 30th, Samsung C&T's construction division signed a strategic partnership with SK Eco Plant for smart dwelling technology collaboration at the Raemian Gallery in Munjeong-dong, Seoul.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Myung-seok, head of the dwelling business division (Vice President) of Samsung C&T, and Lee Gi-yeol, general sales manager (Vice President) of SK Eco Plant, along with key officials from both companies.
The two companies plan to create synergy through technological exchanges regarding their respective smart dwelling solutions, including Samsung C&T's home platform HomeNick and SK Eco Plant's recycling waste management solution "PICKLE."
HomeNick is a home platform that allows users to access all services related to residential life at once, including digital smart home services, cultural life, and health management. It has expanded its reach to other brand apartment complexes like Hanwha, Doosan Construction, and HS HWASUNG, and has been actively utilized in about 60,000 households, establishing itself as an essential service for residents.
With this agreement, HomeNick will also be applied to SK Eco Plant's dwelling brands DEFINE and SK VIEW new complexes. Residents of DEFINE and SK VIEW will be able to access all convenience services related to their apartments, including management fee inquiries, community facility reservations, and living services through HomeNick.
SK Eco Plant's dwelling innovation technology, PICKLE, is set to be applied to Samsung C&T. PICKLE is SK Eco Plant's recycling waste management solution that won an innovation award at the "Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024" last year. By utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it minimizes the inconvenience to residents while enhancing the efficiency of resource recycling for recyclable waste generated in multi-family housing.
The two companies plan to continuously discover various dwelling innovation solutions and strengthen technological cooperation to elevate their brand status. Additionally, they will also collaborate on technology related to reducing inter-floor noise, which is increasingly seen as essential in newly built complexes.
The Deputy Minister noted, "This agreement provides an important opportunity to further expand HomeNick," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide the best dwelling environment for residents."
