The Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 29th that the average competition rate for the fourth recruitment of 'Long-Term Lease Housing 2 (Mirilnae House)' was 64.3 to 1. The highest competition rate was 759.5 to 1, originating from the re-supplied complex.
'Mirilnae House' is a program that provides stable housing and home ownership opportunities for newlywed couples planning to have children or get married as part of Seoul's low birth rate measures.
In this recruitment for Long-Term Lease Housing 2, 23,608 applicants responded to the recruitment for 367 units, including 'Imun I-Park Xi,' resulting in an average competition rate of 64.3 to 1.
The competition rate, which was 38 to 1 during the previous third recruitment announcement for Long-Term Lease Housing 2, rose to 64.3 to 1 in this fourth round.
The SH Corporation has abolished the criteria that separated applicants with children from those without in this recruitment announcement. They plan to offer broader entry opportunities regardless of the presence of children and to provide birth incentives, such as extending the contract period and relaxing income criteria upon re-contracting if children are born after moving in.
The re-supplied complex, Hoban Summit Gaebong, recorded the highest competition rate at 759.5 to 1 for the 59㎡ units. When looking at types, the following high competition rates were observed: ▲New supply of 84㎡ Riverson SK View Lotte Castle at 78 to 1 ▲Imun I-Park Xi 59㎡ at 41.5 to 1 ▲DMC SK View 84㎡ at 240.3 to 1 ▲Lotte Castle Twin Gold 59㎡ at 218.5 to 1.
The SH Corporation plans to announce the list of document review candidates on May 12. Following that, they will conduct additional reviews to determine if candidates meet the criteria for residency qualifications, income, assets, and being homeowners, ultimately selecting winners to be announced on August 8.
Hwang Sang-ha, President of SH Corporation, noted, 'We will focus our efforts this year on supplying 3,500 units of Mirilnae House, including non-apartment options, to provide a nurturing and high-quality living environment for newlywed couples and those about to marry who want to raise and nurture children.'
