The Korea Real Estate Development Association (KODA), led by President Kim Seung-bae, announced on the 28th the official launch of the '20th Anniversary Commemorative Committee' in celebration of its 20th anniversary and held an inauguration ceremony for the organizing committee.
The Korea Real Estate Development Association is an organization established in 2005 with the purpose of promoting healthy and transparent development in the real estate development industry and enhancing the rights and interests of the developer sector.
This commemorative committee has been established to reflect on the past 20 years of the association, providing a space for harmony and communication with key contributors, partner organizations, and industry stakeholders. It also aims to reestablish awareness of 'real estate developers,' improve the crisis in the real estate industry, elevate the association's status, strengthen transparency in the real estate market, and enhance the public housing environment through various planning and practical actions.
The committee is composed of a Director General, Deputy Director, and advisors, along with six committees: ▲ Planning Committee ▲ Public Relations Committee ▲ Academic Committee ▲ External Cooperation Committee ▲ Finance Committee ▲ Publishing Committee, involving a total of 48 members.
Kim Han-mo, chairman of HMG Group and Kansas Asset Management, has been appointed as the Director General of the committee. Kim Dae-geon, chairman of Leegon Group, serves as the Deputy Director, and Lee Chang-min, a professor at Hanyang University and the chief professor of the Advanced Real Estate Convergence Program, has been appointed as an advisor.
The Planning Committee will be chaired by Deputy Director Kim Dae-geon. The chairs of the other committees are as follows: Son Myung-ik, chairman of Seongho Group, for the Public Relations Committee; Kim Kyung-min, professor at Seoul National University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies, for the Academic Committee; Lee Rak-seung, representative of Baeksang Housing Construction, for the External Cooperation Committee; Hwang Geun-ho, vice chairman of Mirae In, for the Finance Committee; and Kim Su-kyung, chairman of Glostar, for the Publishing Committee, each expected to lead the committee's projects.
Meanwhile, after the inauguration ceremony, the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Committee has officially begun its work and plans to carry out various activities and events in the future. It is also scheduled to hold a celebration of its 20th anniversary in October.
Director General Kim Han-mo noted, 'The 20th anniversary of the Korea Real Estate Development Association is not just a time to look back at the past, but a new beginning for the next 20 years,' and added, 'The commemorative event in October will be a turning point for the Korean developer industry to take a further leap forward.'
