Hyundai E&C will build a demonstration research facility that applies advanced healthcare technology.
Hyundai E&C noted on the 28th that it is constructing a demonstration facility for the futuristic health housing 'All Life-care House' at its technology research center located in Mabuk-dong, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and is conducting research for commercialization.
'All Life-care House' is a residential model that incorporates healthcare technology being developed by Hyundai E&C. It offers ▲ a 'Wellness' solution that manages sleep, exercise, and mental aspects ▲ a 'Medical' solution that provides emergency response in conjunction with hospitals when emergencies occur ▲ and a 'Health Living' solution that controls temperature, humidity, air, water, and light to create optimal living environments. Hyundai E&C is conducting research that closely simulates real living conditions by creating apartment sizes identical to those in actual residential environments.
Hyundai E&C will develop specialized care solutions for different spaces through this demonstration facility, including ▲ sleep care conducted in bedrooms ▲ emergency response systems for bathrooms and overall housing. It will also develop and validate various well-life solutions, such as providing a clean residential environment, medical care that includes remote diagnosis, and exercise care that offers artificial intelligence (AI) diagnosis and coaching.
Utilizing motion-detecting sensors, the facility is also developing a solution that automatically alerts the medical center in case of emergencies like falls or cardiac arrest, and monitors movements or heart rates during sleep to detect risk signs early. A service recommending personalized exercise will also be offered.
The demonstration facility will conduct a thorough analysis of residents' sleep patterns and control the sleeping environment with a smart sleep environment solution, collaborating with external professional organizations for effectiveness evaluations and clinical trials in preparation for commercialization. Recently, it established a foundation for research and development of smart sleeping residential environments in partnership with sleep tech startup A-Sleep.
A representative from Hyundai E&C said, "We will realize a wellness residential environment that keeps residents' lives healthy with various healthcare solutions," and added, "We plan to introduce high-end residential products that add innovative technology to the fundamental value of the home in areas like Apgujeong redevelopment."
As part of the technological advancement for implementing futuristic health housing, Hyundai E&C plans to expand a future-oriented residential service ecosystem based on AI and biotechnology.
