On the 27th, the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) and the Construction Association of Korea, Seoul Chapter (hereinafter referred to as Seoul Chapter) announced that they would begin to ease regulations and improve systems to contribute to the development of the construction industry.
SH Corporation and Seoul Chapter signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 25th for the development of the construction industry, regulation improvement, and leading a culture of coexistence. Notable attendees included SH Corporation President Hwang Sang-ha and Seoul Chapter President Choi Tae-jin, as well as stakeholders from both organizations.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a cooperation system for enhancing the competitiveness of the construction industry and improving systems centered on the field. They will focus on ▲ reforming systems and identifying tasks for the development and competitiveness of the construction industry ▲ providing technical support and sharing information for the efficient implementation of public dwelling projects ▲ collaborative research and policy support for safety management and quality enhancement on construction sites ▲ and joint efforts to stabilize the construction industry in Seoul, expand housing supply, and improve the working environment.
SH Corporation explained that the two organizations plan to form a practical council to concretely prepare measures for regulation easing and system improvements that can be felt on the ground.
SH Corporation President Hwang Sang-ha said, "We will listen to the voices from the field and actively improve unnecessary regulations and systems that hinder the development of the construction industry," adding, "We will continue to cooperate for the development of Seoul's construction industry and realization of public interest."
