Daewoo E&C announced on the 25th that it signed a business agreement with Seoul on the 22nd for participation in the corporate garden at the 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Jung-hoon, executive director of the civil engineering business division at Daewoo E&C, Kim Yong-hyun, executive director of the dwellings and architecture business division at Daewoo E&C, along with other employees from Daewoo E&C and key staff related to landscaping from the Seoul city government, including Lee Soo-yeon, the director of the gardens city bureau.
The 2025 Seoul International Garden Expo will be held at Boramae Park from May 22 to October 20 under the theme "Seoul, Green Soul." The gardens will be created through an international competition and participation from citizens and corporations.
Daewoo E&C aims to practice carbon neutrality and actively respond to the climate crisis through participation in the creation of corporate gardens with the Seoul city government.
Daewoo E&C plans to create a garden that emphasizes the eco-friendly image of "Prugio," which combines the pure Korean word "pure" expressing cleanliness and freshness with "GEO," meaning land and space, incorporating the brand philosophy of "The Natural Nobility."
Meanwhile, Daewoo E&C ranked first in construction capability evaluation in the landscaping institutional sector for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, based on which it also received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at the Korea Landscaping Awards.
