A rental dormitory with 664 rooms will be built in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, and the residential welfare of workers in the industrial complex is expected to improve. A large complex with 2,054 units will be established in the SHINPOONG area in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 24th that it passed architectural review for a total of two projects, including the rental dormitory in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, at the 5th meeting of the Architectural Committee.
The construction project for the rental dormitory at 319-18 Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, and the long-term rental housing project in the SHINPOONG area supply 2,054 dwellings and 664 rental dormitory rooms.
The rental dormitory to be constructed in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, is a housing facility for workers in the Korea Export National Industrial Complex (G-Valley). It will include a 23-story dormitory with 664 rooms and neighborhood living facilities. Shared spaces within the dormitory will feature a work lounge and exercise facilities, allowing employees to live in a pleasant environment.
The dormitory is scheduled to be completed in July 2027 after obtaining building permits in August 2025, and it is expected to improve the living conditions for workers in the industrial complex, as well as expand the supply of dwellings for single-person households.
The long-term rental housing project in the SHINPOONG area near 413-5 Sin-gil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, is expected to supply 2,054 dwellings across 16 buildings, up to 35 stories high. It will include 270 long-term rental housing units, 50% of which will be supplied as 'Miryunai-ji' for newlywed couples.
The designs of each complex will be diversified to enhance convenience and elevate the quality of the urban landscape. Additionally, public facilities such as smart silver centers and youth co-working offices will be placed along the streetside, revitalizing the local community. Construction will begin in August, with sales starting in December, and completion is expected in April 2029.
