BS Group has announced that 'San-i Garden,' the first garden-type botanical garden in Jeollanam-do, has been selected as the only site in the Gwangju and Jeonnam area for the 2025 Small Potential Tourism Site Development Project.
The Small Potential Tourism Site Project hosted and managed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization is aimed at discovering and nurturing regional tourist sites with high growth potential. San-i Garden, selected as a site this year, will receive a certain amount of business expenses to support tourism revitalization activities such as product development and promotional marketing for one year.
As the first step in the Small Potential Tourism Site Development Project, San-i Garden signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the activation of small potential tourist sites with Haenam County and the Korea Tourism Organization on the 9th. BS Group expects that the synergy effect of the grand opening of San-i Garden and the Small Potential Tourism Site Development Project will invigorate the tourism industry in San-i Garden and the Gwangju and Jeonnam area.
Opened in May last year, San-i Garden is a tourist attraction representing the eco-friendly garden city, which is the foundation of the city. It is located in Solarido Business City, a large-scale public-private partnership city being developed by BS Group, known for its housing brand Sujiin, along with Jeollanam-do and Haenam County.
San-i Garden is a complex cultural space that features walking paths centered around greens, flowers, and trees, as well as a café, exhibition hall, and playground equipment. This year, an ESG Garden School, winery, greenhouse, and footgolf course will additionally open.
San-i Garden will host Korea's first ESG festival on the 26th. This festival, jointly hosted and managed by San-i Garden and the Jeollanam-do ESG Association, will consist of a children's drawing contest, ESG book concert, and eco-friendly experience programs.
