Recently, the design offering 'dedicated storage' for each unit in apartment complexes is gaining attention in the real estate industry. This allows for the storage of large leisure and recreational items, making effective use of indoor space.
According to the construction industry on the 10th, complexes that emphasize unit storage as a specialized feature are emerging one after another in the recent sales market.
Samsung C&T provided free unit storage at 'Raemian Songdo Station Centripole' blocks 1 and 2 in Incheon Yeonsu District, which completed contracts for all units last February. 'Pyeongchon Xi Persnity' in Anyang City, Gyeonggi Province, also recorded full sales of all units in January this year, receiving positive feedback for offering unit storage as a basic option.
Unit storage is primarily installed in the underground floors of each building, making it convenient to store or move items. Recently, more complexes have been offering dedicated spaces of 1 to 1.5 square meters (approximately 2m high) per unit. This storage does not count toward the exclusive area and is classified as 'service area,' allowing for design without the burden of Floor Area Ratio.
Consumers who feel burdened by keeping large camping equipment such as tents, tables, and chairs indoors are utilizing unit storage as an alternative space. Recently, there have also been increasing cases of separately storing infant products, strollers, and slides.
The generalization of balcony extensions has also reduced indoor storage space, contributing to the increased preference for unit storage. Storing leisure items in the living room or bedroom often disrupts a neat interior, but having separate storage allows for more efficient use of space.
An official in the construction industry noted, 'In the recent sales market, beyond simple floor plans, common facilities or specialized designs that enhance practical living convenience are significant competitive advantages,' adding, 'Unit storage is expected to establish itself as a practical solution that alleviates residents' concerns regarding storage.'
Hyundai E&C is also offering unit storage for all units in 'Hill State Yongin Mark Valley,' which is being sold in the Nam-sa (Agok) area of Yongin's Cheoin District.
'Hill State Yongin Mark Valley' is located in block 7 of the Nam-sa (Agok) area of Yongin.
