The Jangwi 4 district redevelopment project 'Jangwi Xi Radiant' in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, has received temporary usage approval, escaping a delay in occupancy.
According to the maintenance industry on the 31st, around 11:30 a.m. that day, Seongbuk-gu, the district office in charge of the Jangwi 4 redevelopment area, granted temporary usage approval for the apartments on the condition that the union draft an agreement detailing the safe execution of construction for infrastructure around the complex.
The union notified residents via text message that it took time for the district office to decide on the approval due to complaints from some residents, stating, "We plan to complete the infrastructure construction required by Seongbuk-gu with all our efforts."
Earlier, Seongbuk-gu had not issued temporary usage approval for the complex until the morning of the designated occupancy start date. Although construction of the apartments was completed, the construction of infrastructure such as roads and parks near the complex had not yet finished, raising concerns about residents' safety.
As a result, those scheduled to move in who visited the complex before 11 a.m. that day to conduct prior inspections and prepare for the transfer were unable to enter their homes.
Mr. A, who purchased the unit through general sale, said, "I was planning to check the home I bought this morning to match the prior inspection day, but the manager said I couldn't go in," adding, "I’m relieved to have received the usage approval from Seongbuk-gu to be able to move in."
Jangwi Xi Radiant is expected to be reborn as a new apartment complex consisting of a total of 2,840 units across 31 buildings, with 3 basement levels and a maximum of 31 floors, through the redevelopment of Jangwi 4 district in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
