HanmiGlobal unveiled its in-house artificial intelligence (AI) platform, "HG AI Portal," on the 31st to accelerate digital transformation.
This portal integrates various generative AI functions, such as AI chat, document review, translation, image generation, and analysis, providing them all in one platform. HanmiGlobal employees can conveniently utilize various AI-based services in their daily work.
The company purchases various large language model (LLM) APIs and provides them free of charge to employees, allowing for quick information retrieval and work utilization using the AI chat function reflecting LLM characteristics.
Additionally, AI automatically analyzes photos taken on-site or uploaded images to provide results, and generates safety inspection reports automatically through situation recognition, violation identification, legal guidance, proposed solutions, and checklist presentation via generative AI. This is expected to enable more detailed safety corrective actions and contribute to the establishment of measures for preventing major disasters and recurrence. HanmiGlobal plans to add real-time inspection functions using robots and drones in the future.
Since 2019, HanmiGlobal has established a dedicated department for digital transformation, introducing advanced digital systems or developing them in-house. Starting this year, the department has been reorganized into the "AX Department" to further strengthen the development and utilization of digital project management solutions. "AX" stands for "AI driven DX," meaning AI-driven digital transformation.
Last year, the company developed the on-site operations management system "MPMS (Maestro Project Management System)" and began full-scale implementation on-site this year. Through this system, document creation, approval, storage, classification, and report writing can all be handled in a one-stop manner, enabling systematic data operations and management.
In addition, HanmiGlobal collaborated with its group company, Turner & Townsend Korea, a construction cost management specialist, to develop the construction cost search system "CCN (Construction Cost Navigation)." CCN is a system utilized for reviewing the appropriateness of construction costs and establishing construction cost estimation criteria based on project contract actual cost data. CCN provides functions for querying construction costs per facility and usage type, converting construction cost indexes, and supports a dashboard for comparing construction costs with similar projects and checking detailed information, allowing for more efficient management of project construction costs and the provision of accurate construction cost data to clients.
HanmiGlobal has developed a mobile safety management application called "Risk Zero HG" to quickly record and monitor safety issues on-site. When risk factors occur at construction sites, site managers can share the risk elements in real time with contractors and clients, and the instructions and measures are documented online.
HanmiGlobal plans to complete the development of a "mobile punch list" application which applies quality management features soon and distribute it on-site, systematically supporting on-site management tasks and strengthening quality management throughout the project.
Moreover, HanmiGlobal is enhancing quality management by utilizing digital twin technology that overlaps aerial images taken by drones with design drawings to improve the efficiency and stability of construction project management. Additionally, through a technical agreement with DroneDeploy, the leading global drone platform company, it is expanding the quality of drone services and is supporting quicker and clearer decision-making for clients through service development using artificial intelligence. The company aims to continuously promote optimization and stability enhancement of construction project management using digital twin technology and lead AI-driven innovation in the construction industry to reduce project expenses while providing differentiated services.
Actively utilizing AI technology to digitalize the entire construction project management process, HanmiGlobal is particularly preparing various AI solutions to strengthen pre-construction capabilities. It plans to provide more accurate expense planning, tracking, and inspection functions through its initial construction cost estimation system, and is developing services to prevent project delays and optimize resources through the construction progress prediction system.
A representative of HanmiGlobal noted, "Through digital innovation using AI technology, we will not only strengthen the company's competitiveness but also enhance the work capabilities of our employees, increasing the efficiency and accuracy of construction project management and becoming a special company trusted by clients." They also stated, "We will continue to lead the digital transformation of the construction industry based on ongoing technology development and innovation using AI."
