LH has donated 1 billion won in relief funds to the National Disaster Relief Association and the Korean Red Cross for the recovery of forest fire damage.

The relief funds are intended for recovery activities in major forest fire damage areas (Gyeongsangbuk-do Uiseong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Andong, Gyeongsangnam-do Sancheong, etc.), as well as for relief for victims, provision of daily necessities, and housing support for emergency living stability.

On the 22nd, LH delivered 420 sets of emergency relief kits worth approximately 50 million won to the Sancheong forest fire disaster site. It also provided meal support for firefighters working on the scene.

To ensure rapid housing stability for victims in major forest fire damage areas, LH will implement emergency housing support by utilizing vacant rental dwellings in collaboration with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport and local governments.

LH is preparing to provide emergency shelters using 858 available rental dwellings that can be supported immediately in the major forest fire damage areas (Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Ulsan) by organizing a field support team. Additional support will be provided by utilizing lease rental dwellings for any housing shortages.

LH is carrying out emergency housing support to quickly stabilize the housing and support the daily recovery of victims affected by various disasters. Since 2019, it has provided emergency housing support for a total of 491 households using rental dwellings near disaster-affected areas nationwide.

LH President Lee Han-jun visited the vacant LH rental dwelling units designated for emergency housing support for forest fire victims in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on the 29th to inspect the site.

President Lee said, "I send my deepest condolences to the victims who lost their homes due to the sudden large forest fire," and noted, "LH will continue to provide generous relief support to overcome national disaster crises."
