Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 28th that it has initiated joint safety inspections at construction sites during the thawing period in collaboration with the Seoul City Council (Housing Space Committee).
Seoul City Council member Choi Jin-hyuk, President Hwang Sang-ha, and others visited three construction sites in Gangseo District on the 27th to inspect vulnerable factors during the thawing period and conduct joint inspections to prevent safety accidents.

The sites visited that day included ▲ Magok-dong 1410 (fire station site) ▲ Magok 10-2 complex ▲ Deungchon-dong Community Plaza, totaling three locations, where Council member Choi and President Hwang focused on inspecting the safety management conditions at each site. They particularly examined the conditions of excavation surfaces, soil retaining walls, formwork, and lifting equipment, which are at high risk of collapse during the thawing period.
They also checked the smart safety management systems in operation at the sites, including ▲ artificial intelligence smart safety closed-circuit television (CCTV) ▲ wearable cameras ▲ equipment and structure hazard alarms, and discussed ways to ensure the safety of on-site workers.
President Hwang noted, "The thawing period is a time when the risk of safety accidents in construction sites is particularly high," and urged, "Please do your best to meticulously inspect risk factors in advance to prevent accidents and create a safer working environment."
