Daewoo E&C announced on the 27th that it will donate 300 million won to help recover from the large-scale damage caused by wildfires nationwide.
This donation will be delivered through the Korea Red Cross and will be used for emergency support and recovery for residents of the affected areas. Daewoo E&C decided to make the donation to lead corporate contributions to the community in a situation where quick recovery support is needed.
Jeong Won-joo, chairman of Daewoo E&C, said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents affected by the wildfires, and we will spare no effort to support them so they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible," adding, "Daewoo E&C will continue to practice sharing to overcome disasters and calamities as a corporation fulfilling its social responsibilities."
Meanwhile, Daewoo E&C has been at the forefront of emergency relief support during disasters such as the 2022 East Coast wildfires, the 2023 Turkey earthquake, and the 2023 Gangneung wildfires, and is actively operating various social contribution programs to fulfill its social responsibility as a corporation.
