GS Engineering and Construction established a quality manager council to strengthen communication between the quality management team of Lotte Construction's Technology Research Institute and the quality team leaders at construction sites nationwide for effective quality oversight.

This council divides the construction sites where Lotte Construction operates into six regions (northern, central, and southern metropolitan areas, Daejeon, Iksan, and Busan) and conducts quarterly meetings. The first quarter council was active for three days from March 11th to 13th.

During this council, members shared quality management cases from each site and exchanged information on partner companies' quality evaluation procedures. Researchers and quality managers jointly inspected the sites and derived measures to enhance quality management. Discussions on effective quality management methods, including pilot operations of a quality risk pre-evaluation system, took place.

Starting this year, the 'Autonomous Reporting System' that has been in place for quality managers will be expanded company-wide. The plan is to derive solutions to reduce recurrent risks and to collect and categorize exemplary and inadequate cases by type of work.

Lotte Construction is conducting the '2025 Lotte Construction Technology Academy' to improve construction quality and secure the latest technological capabilities. This will be utilized for ▲ strengthening technological competitiveness ▲ concentrating technical capabilities ▲ nurturing experts and diversifying the application of smart technologies on site.

From March to July this year, Lotte Construction provided 'Quality Management Mindset' training to all employees. From April to September, a 'Quality Innovation Academy' training will be conducted for a total of 42 sessions aimed at all technical and quality environment personnel. This year, training on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be newly introduced to focus on cultivating smart construction experts.

A representative from Lotte Construction noted, 'We are making efforts to improve quality by establishing a new council for quality management alongside the training we hold every year,' adding, 'We will thoroughly enhance quality to provide differentiated services that meet customer satisfaction.'

Lotte Construction is using its premium chatbot, 'Lotte Construction Chatbot,' developed based on the group's own AI platform, Aimember, to provide information on quality management and regulations.

In the future, the chatbot will be used to provide pre-assessment risk information regarding quality to employees at all sites and partner companies. This will help identify potential quality-deteriorating factors during the construction process in advance and prevent them while strengthening construction quality capabilities.
