Kumho Engineering & Construction announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract with Sinwoo Industry, a domestic water treatment equipment specialist, for market entry overseas.
Under this contract, Sinwoo Industry will supply PVC double-walled pipes for Kumho Engineering & Construction's wastewater treatment facility project in Takmao, Cambodia. The contract is valued at approximately $2 million (about 29 million won).
The contract signing ceremony held at the 2025 International Water Industry Fair (WATER KOREA) was attended by Kang Hee-woong, executive director in charge of water treatment business at Kumho Engineering & Construction, and Kim Joo-hwan, CEO of Sinwoo Industry, who signed the contract. The International Water Industry Fair is the largest water industry exhibition in the country, showcasing technologies from domestic and foreign water industry corporations and facilitating exchanges.
Kumho Engineering & Construction is actively assisting the overseas market entry of domestic water treatment equipment companies by signing contracts worth about $5.5 million with four domestic water treatment equipment companies, including Sinwoo Industry, for the ongoing wastewater treatment facility project in Takmao, Cambodia.
Executive Director Kang noted, "The overseas water treatment market is a field with high potential for continuous growth, and we will enhance our competitiveness in the global market through collaboration with domestic equipment companies," adding, "In the future, Kumho Engineering & Construction will continue to promote the development of environmental new technologies and overseas expansion to leap forward as a global water treatment specialized corporation."
