This Eco Village joint project was conducted in the coastal area of Suwon-ri, Hallim-eup, with a total of 50 participants, including the Hallim-eup and Suwon-ri fishing village council (Head Yang Yeong-sam) and YIDO employees. A large amount of marine waste, including discarded fishing gear, Sargassum, and plastics, was collected, and YIDO promptly disposed of the collected waste.

Meanwhile, YIDO and Hallim-eup signed a business agreement for the creation of the Eco Village on Nov. 28 last year and plan to establish biannual marine waste collection events until 2026 as part of their efforts for a clean Jeju.

Currently, YIDO operates three business sites in Jeju, including YIDO Eco Jeju and Hallim and Pyoseon, processing industrial waste at a scale of 2,800 tons per day.
