On the 11th, a representative from Hyundai Engineering said, "Since the 10th, we have fully suspended work at over 80 construction sites across the country and are preparing detailed safety measures for each site," adding, "We will resume construction as soon as we establish measures based on the site conditions."

On Feb. 25, at the construction site of the Cheongryongcheon Bridge on the Sejong-Anseong section of the Seoul-Sejong (Sejong-Pocheon) Expressway, a launcher was lifting the deck structure onto a pier when it fell while moving backward, causing four deck panels to collapse. Four workers who were working on the pier were killed, and six others were injured.

However, just under two weeks after this accident, on the 10th, an accident occurred at the Hills State apartment construction site in Hyun-deok-myeon, Pyeongtaek, where a worker in their 50s fell to their death, and another was injured.

In response, it appears that Hyundai Engineering has initiated a thorough safety inspection of all sites currently under its supervision.
